Carrying Drunk Home

Another thing that may help is our advice on getting drunks to the car or carrying them home. This is not always the easiest thing to do. With the proper techniques, even the smallest girls can get together and carry a heavy drunk from the bar to the taxi without injuring themselves.

To begin, lets assume that the person being carried is heavy, and the people carrying him/her are lightweights. These are the type of people we want to help. To begin, you have heard of bending at the knees when picking up keys? Well the same applies here, only here the keys lie in the pocket of a heavy ass drunk. With the lush drunk lying on their back, have each person stand on one side facing the drunk. If the drunk is on your left, you take your left arm and grab the drunks upper left arm. As he begins to sit up, pull that arm over you head and put your left arm around his back. If you are a girl touch the guys ass. This often gives the guys incentive to get up. This is not recommended for guys to do to drunk girls. It will not help in most circumstances. Now that you have the drunks arm around your neck and your arm around his back, check to see the other person is in the same position. They should be on the drunks other side in a similar position. With the drunk centered over your body, you and your friend must stand up straight. Using your knees. If you don't you may hurt your back.

Once the drunk is up, you must encourage him/her that they are doing a good job. This positive reinforcement can be the deciding factor in whether or not he/she gives up an passes out on the toad. Once you have the drunk up and walking, walk at a steady pace and don't worry about them complaining. Get them to where you have to go and give them lots of fluids. Non-Alcohol fluids.

Get them to bed and remind them in the morning of what a Jack Ass they were. It often helps to write on them with a permanent marker to reinforce how wasted they were. For all the hard work you do taking the drunk home, the markers can make it worth your while the next day when you look back at the night and laugh.
